Hi All,

One of the areas of my game that i frequently look to mix up is how i play premium hands from BB or early position.
Its a really relevant and useful skill to have especially when short stacked in a tourney and you are looking for max value on your hand.
How do you play these hands..it would be good to hear your thoughts and any situations you have been faced with.

One thought process is, if you are SS for example and you enter a pot with a call/min raise or higher then the message you should be communicating is a hand of strength but being pot committed can force you into a play where you cannot fold..for example holding QQ and someone jamming on you..invariably this will be AK, KK, AA, if you were BB for example and SS and this happens to you, factoring in everything else - their image, HUD stats, position, effective stack size - you could easily assume they have a strong play too..

Here are some varying articles on playing the Monster hand from BB/Early position

Let me know your thought guys!

I'm not sure I understand the question...premium hands make things like position less important, I feel...
