I've been away from here and from the tables for a couple of years but am now back playing the $7 STT at pokerstars - a game I found very lucrative before. Has anything changed in these games whilst I've been away to turn a winning player into a breakeven player?

As before my game is fairly standard - tight in early stages, stealing as stacks get to 20BB or so, aggressive late on. But over 500 games it just doesn't seem to be happening for me. A few weeks back I had the most appalling run - no, honestly, it seemed like I was inventing whole new ways to get dumped out. I lost count of the number of times I'd trap some sucker into shoving with air and I'd be 80% favourite... OK it happens one time in five but when 25 buy ins just vanishes it gets beyond a joke. It got to a stage where my girlfriend would look over and say 'You're winning in the long run'.

So, my question is - am I still winning in the long run or is a standard game just not going to cut it any more? Are there just not as many fish at this level ($7STT) as there used to be? Is waiting until we can get all in with one other when 65-70% just not good enough when it is our tourney life?

Any thoughts most welcome.
