Hi guys just wanted to get some inputs on how would you play A10(o/s) around 20BB-10BBs in MTTs. Please elaborate on position as well. Should I just shove preflop or limp to see the flop? Many times I have lost out in these situations so need some help here.

In MTT's, I just straight off never limp, it's just too exploitable imo good players will easily play against it.
If I have A10o anywhere with 10 bbs it's really just an instashove because it will make profit in the long run, if the payouts are coming up and your looking to not be the bubble or want a pay jump then these will be the only reasons why not to do it.
If I have 20 bbs, I am more inclined to just raise, only from say the high jack or better, then you'll just have to make a read on your opponent if you get raised. You don't really want to shove with 20bbs because only better hands or hands your racing with are calling, whereas with 10bbs your having a more looser range. You don't also want to be raising from say UTG, as nobody will play back at you unless they have a strong holding, and therefore for future encounters they'll know you're playing so loose.

I always try to see what the flop is offering. If I catch a 10 on the flop, I'll try to check-call all the way to the river. If I get shoved on, I fold. Most of the time the opponent has a weak 10 like JT or T7.

From A10 if I have 20 BB I'll go Ollin/only if they suited, if not then I folded. If 10 BB Ollin/safely regardless of suit.

It depends.

You can fold, raise or call or shove. Depends on the given situation.

Overall, you have to be very careful when playing AT since it is a marginal hand.

This is so situation dependent. Just a general rules, as you bb's goes down the hand is getting stronger to just push with. Also, if the table is getting short of players, the hand value increases. So depending on the number of players and the amount of bb's you have left will dictate what you should be doing.

Situation: When we raise and a person in LP calls. Flop is A5J. Villian all-in. Call or fold?

Do we really need to fold a hand like A10? Why not just limp in early position and see the flop expecially with a hand like A10s we can get many openings.

20bb - if in early position, i fold, no limping. if in middle position, i'll most likely limp or min raise just to see the flop. if hj or co, then i'm raising to steal.
10bb - shove no matter what position i'm in.

however, if i'm near the bubble, i'm folding a10 no matter what position i'm in.

A10 (os) - if 10bb's i think you should go all-in. If 20bb's then should fold here...

20BBs:
ATs: 2.5x open from MP1, MP2, CO, BU & SB
ATo: 2.5x open from CO, BU & SB
3.5x open if there is an limper ahead, 4x open if there are 2 limpers ahead, etc.
Never call open from MP2 and ahead
Call from BB against CO/BU/SB's open

10BBs:
ATs: open shove from MP1, MP2, CO, BU & SB
ATo: open shove from CO, BU & SB
Open shove if there are limpers ahead
Fold to opens from MP2 and ahead
Shove against CO/BU/SB's open

Depends on the table dynamic and whether or not you think that you can get away with a limp; most times it is more efficient to limp (if you think you can without getting raised) and see the flop, but sometimes AT IS a fold in early position based on table dynamic. Unless its suited, because I always play AT suited :p
