Do you change how you play when you play a larger freeroll than usual?

I usually find that many players tend to be very aggressive in the early stages when it's a big freeroll - and I must confess that sometimes I let it get to me which then lead to me being annoyed.. and for me, that make me an agressive player who doesn't know when to fold

Have you noticed something about big freerolls or do you change your own game?

Maybe be more agresive,or maybe you should try luck with cards and raise a lot.
Wish you luck on this tourney!

These type of freerolls are sort of a lottery ticket. You have to change your game up a bit at the start. I play very tight early only play super premium hands and mostly just stick it in preflop You get lots of light calls. Once the late registration is over you can go back to normal play.
I just busted this week tournament open shoved starting stack with AK from early got calls by AJ & AQ ended up third best hand.

I did somewhat the same. Was dealt KK and ended up third best hand vs 44 and 63... 63 hit a straight and 44 hit set

Pretty much fold till you get a premium hand then shove...then repeat...

After I had a decent stack I would settle down.

As posted, pretty much a lottery through 1/3 of the field.

In early stage i play with top pairs because its freerol and there a lot of peoples who just push with nothing all in ( 90% of them always wins) after early stage ( ante starts) I trying to go with 2BB and get chips from table, cards in that situation is different - suited ones, pocket pairs.

It´s a good freeroll to play, but players in general have a loose way to play. So, don´t bluff too much, play tight and in the correct spots.

I would recommend you to avoid weak / average hands out of position. The variance is hard to overcome, but not impossible.

Usually try to make big stack or bust quickly in large freerolls which have bad value $/player-wise.

Hello Friend! Your skill to play in tournaments that you will always bail out. And regardless of the prize pool of the tournament you have to show a great game! Then you become a good player, and the best strategy is to play without mistakes! I wish you to do more in these tournaments! Although the field there are very different! And your ability to be the key to a chest full of money!

I have cashed in this one a few times. It is a true test of patience with huge numbers of players. I find its easy to bust out given many players are super loose and just play risky poker to build their stack til the game settles down.

Big freerolls are always risky. Often choose to play tight early as you can play many hands and get easy double ups. The number of players goes down fast real quick in those tourneys.

The bubble just broke and I'm currently in the money with 37 BBs left. Soon after the bbble broke 200 players went down. Could be bigger if I didn't make an ultra tight open fold of JJ, 19 BBs deep in the UTG with two 3-bet happy bigstacks in the blinds (flop came J22 with sucks, I'd be in a much more commanding position).

I didn't change much of my usual strategy. I focused first of getting away from big pots, which means maniacs and limp festivals. Looked very carefully and patient for early double up spots.in 20 minutes a third of the field was already eliminated.

The field is very very very soft, so just be patient and pick ultra strong spots early on.

I every tournament I have the same approach!
These tournaments are plenty of people playing as donkeys or after two hours of play the game becomes serious :)

I prefer to come into play in this freeroll in a short time after the start, usually 20-40 minutes. During this time for fans to go all in on any two cards have time to get away. And I play very tight at first until i increase my stack. This rule generally applies to all the freerolls
