In your guys opinions is it better to play aggressive early in a tournament when the blinds are going up quick or do you think you should just play the way you normally play consistently throughout the tournament?

Personally, I just play agressive only if I m sure I have the best hand. It is because there are many crazy guys that play any hand or just want to spend time and dont take the game seriously.

I actually do the opposite, I play tighter early and than loose up as the blinds go up.

The aggressive play early is requred for players who know how to play postflop, otherwise you will make mistakes that may cost you your tournament life...

The only way I'm playing aggressively is when the blind structure is hyper turbo. When it's turbo I try not engage in a lot of post flop action. You'll see me limping a lot, even trying to induce a donk bet If I have the nuts.

I like to play more premium hands and stick the rag players. easy way to build early chips. My opinion is you will have a couple opportunities. Nothing like sticking someone with trip 7's when their holding A rag. But given that I think remain open to any style based on how you see others.

in the first levels I usually limp if I connect something I play aggressive or call if the other raise (many players are often bluffing), but never all-in preflop because many players go all-in on the first few minutes with any hand, I lost hands like AA KK AK QQ vs junk hands

Aggresive but tight. And You also must take noticed on Your opponents. Especially in micro tournaments... they can play really weird poker

At the beginning of the tournament the best to play tight, yet small bb. It is necessary to pay attention to the bad players. Try not to go to allin with premium cards, there is the possibility of being knocked out a player does not attach great importance to the game. As bb growth need to go to the game Aggressive. But still should choose a good hand. With a good stack, I continue to play tight.

I think its about survival in the early stages. The blinds are small and not worth stealing. Here's a scene for you... You @ the w.s.o.p. and its the opening hand, you on the BB and everyone folds, except for the button who calls all in. you check your cards and discover AA... What do you do ? remember your tourney life is on the line

It is better aggressive start and then get a good amount of chips, passive play

Couldnt disagree more, when you actually have a stack is the perfect time to put pressure on the smaller stacks.
Of course you cant go crazy but gotta keep the pressure on.

I play aggressive when believe I have the best hand, and when I have an advantageous position and all before did check. I try to be aggressive at the right time.

I usually play tight in the first hands because you play agressive for a stack small is not rentable, I need obtain cheaps playing good with your good hands.

Obviously second better. As for me, beginning - is the hardest part of MTT near with Bubble stage. So being crazy, pushed, having 45% VPIP just kill your chances to double up, off course if you're lucky this evening, you will beat even with Q7o =)

I stay fairly tight early on and then loosen up as my stack increases.

I think you have the best shot at winning if you play agressive at every moment, and that includes the start.

I dont mean getting crazy, but definitely dont be pasive

I like to scope out my table, I'll play tight aggressive until I get a feel. If I can be aggressive and get away with it I will, but if everyone is going crazy I'll wait to hit a monster and get paid off. It's the same with every table for that matter, I try not to go in a tournament with a set strategy. If you're aggressive at an aggressive table you'll find yourself in a lot of marginal situations. Sticking to one set strategy is a way for your opponents to catch on to how you play

If everyone is tight in the beginning you may want to be a little more aggressive.
