The poker classic is a $550 buy in Main Event for Sunday April 15th.
I will be playing satellites all week to try And get a ticket into this tournament. Stage 1 is $18 (1 in 5 advance) Stage 2 is $65 (1 in 10 advance). Hopefully I won't have to play all week and I win one early on.
My strategy for this tournament of I were to get into it via satellite would be to play tight but aggressive in the early stages, just to build somewhat of a starting deepstack. I'm going to keep my range open and defend my premium hands. If things tend to get file towards the middle and end I will fall back and shorten my range to suited connectors or high premium hands.
I normally go deep in alot of tournaments but always fall short close to the money. The bubble as everyone calls it. I've won my share of some tournaments, but I've lost more coming close to winning than I lost outright from the gate.
If anyone has better strategy or just some tips on how to play this Main Event drop a line down below, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm confident in my game, always, but I'm also always opened minded to everyone's opinions and strategies.
