I've been seeing a lot more over betting recently from higher level players.

When do you see it as an acceptable play? What street is the best for implementing? Do you ever do it as a bluff?

I mostly over bet on the river, I try to be balanced but I probably over bet more with value hands. I also like to over bet the turn on occasion with combo draws when I’m deep and I’m not planning on bluffing the river. That way you’ve sized up a river shove for when you hit and can get max value. Also you can pick up the on the turn against some weaker top pair type hands.

When you overbet you are polarizing your range and you should be overbetting when you have a range advantage over your opponent, mostly on turn and river. When you overbet you allow yourself to bluff more often than when you bet normal size.
