I raise in position pre-flop and get one caller. They then bet into me 2x or more the size of the pot. This gives me horrible pot odds for any drawing hand, however I am unsure how to react with my marginal hands. I would think that if they were strong they would check raise me... but then again I am playing at NL02 so players are not allways as sophisticated to think about extracting max value.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this portrays strength or shows weakness?

Player dependant, but if it's a bad player and a drawy board he usually has something - either a big hand or a big draw, unless you have some sort of a read just fold and find a better spot

at the micros, i think you should bet as much as you can get away with, or as little as it takes to get a fold

Others have great hands while others are bluffing. Its true, player dependent here.

As mentioned above, with marginal hand and with uncertainty, the best and safe is simply fold and proceed to next hand.

With a marginal hand, probably best to just fold. But it does depend a lot on how the player has been playing. If they are playing very tight, you would definitely fold. If he is one of those that raises every hand, you might call (and that would also depend a lot on both of your stack sizes.)
