Hey,

I am new at CardsChat and I have two questions regarding openraise ranges in MTTs and how to change them with different stacksizes. Which opening ranges do you currently use and why and how do you adapt them? Whats important to create openraise ranges?

Thank you :)

Opening ranges varies depends on the stage of the mtt and the type of opponents you are up against at the time and your position at the table. In the early stages you could be a lot tighter with your ranges as the blinds arent that high, as the stage progress to the middle and later stages your ranges would start widen relative to your position at the table. my opening range at the begining of most mtts would consist of AQs/o+, JJs+ in early position, in middle position ATs/o+, 99s+, top end suited connectors and in late position/ in position, i would be opening with 77s+, A9+, KQ+, most suited connectors

This is a link to The Smart Poker Study guide to ranges. It's a good starting point, but learn how to adjust ranges based on situations. Also the podcast that goes with this site talks on many of these topics. Worth a listen if you can find the time.
