Hi there, this is the official mtt regs thread where all the mttr can share their hands, (why not) strategies, thoughts, ideas, experiences, ect ect ect

I wont divide for stakes neither for poker rooms cos we're not so much people to give these threads enough action and also I think, this way, we avoid too much diversification.

If you feel alright with it, you might post your nickname as well so we may see each other at the table.
This is 5betxinfo on pokerstars.com. Atm I am playing avg BI 4$.

I am not a "proper" regular because it's true I play but I do not grind. I play few days a week only (when I can).
I used to be a 6max turbo sng grinder on .it in the 2009/10 (golden age :D of the online poker blast - and 100% RB :D ). I played 4K games so far.
Now my counter raise slowly. I play max 6x and few days only.

I hope you appreciate this initiative.
Said that

have fun!!:boxing:

picked up a random mtt reg winning graph (on google). I wish the best to everybody-

Keep on grinding

Running Bad

Ok,, Ive read a bunch of advice about running bad in general, like, go down a level, take time off ect.......
My thing is more specific, I play mostly live mt tournament, bout have a dozen wsop circuit events and do ok, Im pretty comfortable with my game as long as Im getting even ok cards and of course catching good cards, but the reality of a three day tournament as you know is that at some point your just going to get trash for some period of time.
When this is happening , fold, fold , fold, fold, maybe pick a spot here and there with no action and late position. but I feel as if I need some structure to work out when this is going on instead of just writing it off until the cards change. Any thoughts.

MTT reg here...mainly turbos on Carbon with some 10min blind/deepstacks here and there...mostly 5.50-11 BIs...overall I play TAG when <20bb..and 25bb+ like to play hyper LAG...have studied push fold/call off ranges and enjoy turbo MTTs!
my recent heater graph :)

Good idea, better to just have a regs thread rather than monthly thread.

Not really a tournament player at the moment. Maybe I'll contribute more when I've sorted my life out and have the time for mtts. Mind you, the past two days I've had daily challenges as part of poker stars world cup promotion. I ended up playing an $0.11 and $0.27 turbos respectively and ended up running deep in both of them lol. I only entered them to get the shootout tickets.

I prefer normal structure 10min + the deepest stack I can find.
I add some turbos (1$ > 4$) just to fill up the space on my monitor.
Because I am struggling irl I have to cash out as soon as I get a good price :/ so my BR never really boost.
Playing no stats I avoid to add too many table trying to reduce variance because of focus loss.

I'd like to cash very good to afford a couple of live low BI (50£).

I ll post some hands soon

hey hey cardschat's MTTr where are y??? Everybody is on Holiday ?? or watching the World Cup????

sry to repost but i couldnt edit it.

why dont y post your schedule guys?
i am interested in pokerstars schedule but y may post whatever y want:

here is mine:

10.50 super KO 8k gtd (my favourite 5+5+0.50)
1.35 KO 3k gtd turbo
11 10k gtd
4.4 1k gtd 4max (interchangeable)
2.2 3k gtd 6max
5,5 7k gtd

Avg BI 6, avg multitabling 5x.
I add tourneys as soon as I bust some out according to my mood as well (maybe sometimes I play 3x and watch a movie, ect)

PS: please note I play without HUD. In the past I used to but today I am not. Actually I dont even own a HM or PT licence any more (I used to have a cracked HM1 licence which got lost with an hard drive change. I should still have the license somewhere in my database but i really dont care.
The only thing I MISS is the fact I cannot track my result and I cannot EASILY make hand review. Tracking SW are nuts for that. As soon I can afford it, I will get one. If someone has any tip or trick, y know wat I mean ;) pleae lemme know with a pm or via skype)

LoL I forgot how bad the players in micro MTTs are. Thought I was probably looking at AA-KK cooler given the action, but then I discovered the truth.

you may as well just play in a heap of smaller events, don't know much about the sattelites tbh, apart from the 235fpp ones to the sunday storm.

damn..
stars has so mant sat that I literally get lost and never able to find good steps.
I would really make the way up to a Sunday donkament: I'd like the million but even more the 500$ or why nor the 109$ 6max which is the tougher nmw with more regs, less random pol, e much more skilled sharks
200ish fpp sounds a bit too much for me. I mean I'd prefer paying cash and collecting fpp for the future.

Satellites are +++++++++++++++++ev for tons of stuff: they got softer field, the payed very well (especially with the fpp conversion).

I used to build a bit of br with fpp sats in the past converting in t$.

y going for supernova then, what do y mainly play ?

is it your nickname public? If i see y on the table I can say hello.

it is pretty diffucult cos I do not really grind especially higher than micros.
CG the max I push myself in is the NL5 - due BRM reasons.
I would play 200 live for ex. but not online, and anyway for me Mtts >>>> CG even though I would have loved to prefer the CG for its flexibility.
Then, after a couple or more years away from poker I put a BI -in :D But I am not a proper grinder, not anymore.
I come from the .it (we have own gambling legislation) but atm moved abroad to UK and now I am playing again on the .com

next year i will be, not this year no time, but want to get platinum for november/december at least. just switched to playing 6max hyper turbos $7 games atm, but moving up to the $15s soon as i get my gameplan sorted.

umm yeah i think it's public, no idea really, i usually have table ninja put the info tab on so i can see when blinds are due to increase, so i won't respond anyways :(

yeah i like hypers for their flexibility also, if i play a short session is doesn't hurt me as much as if i play a short session of turbo 6max games. so i can stop and start sessions a bit more which isn't ideal in terms of efficiency, but it's better than turbos for sure. cash is even better obvioulsy as there is no time lost at all, but who wants to play boring old cash games?? :)

wow!!sucking as a f*** tonight.
I had an argument with my gf to play- then I started a session 6x regged at the 4.4 THE BIG
10.50 BIG KO
two turbos 6max
the 4.4 progressivr KO and
the 11$ something like 10K gtd

I sucked!!!!!
hand of the night JJ. I busted out threee, I say 3!!!!! games vs JJ - twice contemporaneous !!!! WTF !!!!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!! I BUSTED OUT WITH A NUT FLUSH vs a DAMMNED ROYAL FLUSH .

unbelievable --- I mean, I know the swings, the b beat, the suckouts blab la bla-. But everything in a session almost simultaneously.

I hate this game -

I was playing for almost 60k GTD and gently sucked soooo much.

Obv I have been left with the smallest one.. as The Murphy Law teaches """"

edit: i should add a law to the book:
if you are about to play a poker game and your GF says to not. Do not! (even though y have convinced her and she's wished the best of luck)

notes: Hero was playing extremely tight. It was the first 3bet in the game and Villain was the only thinking player at the table so far. He tanked but he couldnt resist to call

Nice call and gg

From the start to the end i think you should begin tight then play more aggresive to the final table. Then consider if you're small, med or high stack how you're going to play next.
