It's my first time setting goals in stt through cardschat.

Goals:
1. Mass-table $2.25 sngs every single day, possibly over 20 sngs per day.
2. Keep track of myself and post my results often in cc to see where I'm at.
3. Reach Iron Man Silver.
4. Control Tilt and Have strict bankroll management like usual.
5. Profit.

I got beyond 100 buy-ins. If I cannot even profit with this kind of bankroll at this stake, I should go find a new hobby and quit poker for good.

I guess goals are a good thing, so here goes:

1) Play. Aim for 300 SNGs in the month at least.
2) Get totally comfortable 4-tabling and maybe strive to reach 6 by the end of the month.
3) profit (not a great goal considering so much of whether I can profit is linked to variance).
4) track my results in a somewhat efficient manner.

I registered with OPR, so I can check my results on there to a degree. October results were: 261 SNGs played/47 cashses, average buyin $3.04, average field size 145, average ROI 74%, $585 profit. It's also missing about 4 tournaments I played yesterday in which I cashed twice (blaze of glory busts ~14th in both cashes though). I guess in terms of results, I'd like November to be similar to Oct, but with more games played :D

edit: @pat - thanks for the link to the video...it works for me and I see things fine, not just an audio track. Using media player classic.

hmmm ill try this goal thing this month:

1)Do not play anymore 1.20 SNG's
2)continue to fix my game
3)Show some freakin profit for once
4)Control Tilting/no more whining about bad luck

Already started goal 1, jumped into the 3.40s totally disregarding BRM, off to a good start with the months first victory.

Make the jump to the $5´s so let´s see how this end.

1.-300 S&G´s (at least 250)
2.-Maintain Iron Man
3.-Start table selection
4.-4-tabling
5.-Profit

1. 1000+ STT's plus some more sunday MTT's when time allows.
2. Move to full tilt and start playing the $12's, try to get there BEFORE SNG Madness begins!
3. Stop making dumbass mistakes.
4. Start reviewing on a daily basis, and quality review not quantity!
5. Spend less time procrastinating on forums and other pointless crap. (sorry forum, but i do waste a lot of time here, mostly browsing posts, not HA stuff that actually helps :))

Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, as my Dad would say...

You guys ever thought about playing a SNG without looking at your hole cards. Seen a few vids lately and read a few blog posts (Yes Bwammo, your post) and thought it would be fun/interesting to try. Might make a video, would any of you guys watch it? I'd have something covering my screen like a piece of paper or those sticky things(not sure of the name :p). Probably doing silly stuff like folding KK to a shove, but will be funny nonetheless. Thoughts?

I'd even give it a crack myself if I could be bothered working out how to make videos :p

CM had a similar video, he had a program that covered his cards so that he could explain what range he'd raise/call/etc. It was pretty neat. You'd still be using your HUD I assume?

okay, here's a stupid question that's been beaten to death, I'm sure. You're on the first hand of a $2 9-man SNG, the action folds to you in the hijack and you have 33. Limp/raise/fold? Any difference if we're in the CO? What if it's a $24?

One of my goals for the month is to take the extra second to think about each hand before I get involved in it. I wanna really make sure I have a good reason for doing what I'm doing, and that I have a plan for the hand. I've dropped the number of tables I'm playing to help me do this. So I really hope that whenever I get the chance to play this month I learn a lot from each set I play.

ps: adjusting to the $2's are hard, lol, I'm gonna need a couple of sets to get into these.

Raise, implied odds arn't there anymore, no diff if im in the CO, no diff if it's a $24. We can't really limp anymore, not enough people to act behind, and raising helps us win the pot more often.
