Today was really curious that in 2 of the 4 MTTs that I was playing in the afternoon and when I took advantage (?!?) of the break of 5 minutes in those MTTs to prepare and pick-up a coffee and just when I returned i saw that had received the same hands (KK) in both cases and in both I would have won with favorable boards for my KKs (K in both boards and playing against hands with A)... With opportunities to double my stacks which were good already...

So Coffee in the break never more...lol

I am surprised that it took you more than 5 minutes to prepare a coffee !!!

An hour and a half ago, I prepared a big nice cup of coffee with cream and got back at the table 30 seconds before play was resumed.

If making coffee is not quick enough for you - switch to beer ! LOL

Hi Milencenov,

Actually it does not happen Always but anyway I am not so fast to prepare the coffee... lol
In reality nothing in the kitchen is quite simple and fast for me and some tournaments the break in some specific tables have less than 5 minutes (due to any delay in some hand being disputed) and also because I am also used to go to the restroom during the break besides prepare the coffee...

So the "real" 4 minutes of time to go to the restroom and also to prepare the coffee is sometimes not enough for me...

But the worst thing was to see the 2 KKs being unused in the 2 situations in the same day...lol If it was a 2-7 off I would not care of being out and lost the first hand after the resume of the games...lol

Lol must be some good coffee, but you are brazilian the coffee experts.Sucks with the kings, but look at it this way would the board be the same (flop, turn and river) if u had called with the kings?I think i have read somewhere that the rng shuffles the cards based on players clicks...anyway u had success in those mtt's?

It seems a law, you are away for a couple of hands and get kings or aces,

Didn't you have a timebank?

I can usually cook and eat while playing 2 MTTs but it is easier with just 1. My kitchen is really close and I eat at my computer station.

With 4 MTTs+, it is almost certain you will miss some hands if you are multi-tasking.

Invest in a coffee machine, you can put in coffee like 'RedBeans'.

It's delicious and easy to make and the machine itself is easy to maintain.
Seems like a decent investment for a poker player.

Happens to me all the time after the break, not being there and going in sitting out with pocket Aces or Kings, so let s just say we need an alarm after 5 minutes to bring us back to the table. LOL

Yep!!
You can spend about an hour or more in some MTTs waiting for a good hand like AA or KK and when you are "sitting out" only for few minutes for any reason and right in this moment the waited hand appears and you are not there to use it...lol

I am now doing this exactly in this way...Preparing the coffee in steps running to the kitchen just after folding some hands right before the break and then start preparing in parts my coffee...lol

maybe next time dont start making it at the break, start after you fold your last hand before the break
