This is a little that is going on with me and my game. At FF 8 out of 10 MTT I have bought in and as I always do in rebuy and start with 4000 chips. And if I don't make it to the add on, I quit, but if so I add. Well seems like every time I add on, I get hit with a better hand, which is about half my chips, and then it's not long before I'm out. The other 2 out of 10 are cashes. Which are far more than the loses. So what am I missing here. Should there be more cashes or it it about right? 20%,
At ACR/BCP I don't see how I won that $168 the other night, because I can't do anything there. LOL What is the difference in poker sites. I mean if you play the same, why is the results different?
At Carbon it's just up and down. But right now it's going south more than I like to see. I have tried it all in the past week and the results are not good. Well I have not made the money. About like FF, build a good stack and lose it in 30 minutes. All 2nd best hands. This is the only BR hurting.

Cashing in 20% of MTT's is solid, so can't really complain about that. But in the interest of the ever-constant battle to improve, here are some thoughts:

Find out why you are coming up with the 2nd best hand in these situations. Analyze those hands. Are you making bad calls when you know you could be beat? Are you being too aggressive and committing yourself? Do you get frustrated when you lose a hand and get SS, forcing yourself to try and double up quickly? It's never fun to grind a SS, but its amazing how often being patient as a SS and concentrating on good poker can lead to a comeback. I have been a major SS in tourneys that I ended up FTing.

In regards to how the results vary on different sites - thats just variance. Has nothing to do with the site itself. Maybe the quality of opponent on each site differs, but thats very hard to determine in any objective nature. I would suggest simply reviewing your play in these situations and making sure you are not mis-playing them. Post some hands here to get others opinion and insight.

Wow rw11687 that's a great reply. I was thinking 20% was pretty good. I guess why those loses bother me is because I think, with what I have learned here and other places, I could do better than 20%. Yeah I am making losing calls. With QQ a few times post-flop, and others. I'm going backwards. I'm doing all ins when I don't have to. Being aggressive is something I been trying, and I may push it some. But I've done better playing that way. I use to give the other player free cards and get beat a lot. What is SS? But about BCP, the same happened when I started building a BR at Carbon. But I'm not going to stop trying at BCP. If I got there once, I can do it again. Thanks for the great reply. GL to you at the tables

Good luck to you. SS = Short Stack.

Here is a good example of what in happening. At FF I catch QQ and it ended up all in. Other player has JJ and hits a set. I rebuy, and the very next hand I catch is QQ and it ends up all in. Other player has JJ and hits quads. One another site I catch KK and run into AA two times. I been working on my tilt, but stuff like this makes me steam a little.

I just want to add some to this. At Full Flush I'm going down 1 level. It's not because my BR is hurting. There is a lot of stuff I've learned here and I'm ready to put them into action. I'm going to play very low buyin MTT. I'm going to play freerolls, and I'm going to play 1-2 cent or 2-5 cent. I want to try some of what I have learned without risking a lot of my BR. Does this make since?
At Carbon it's great at the cash tables, and I won a few $ at BCP this evening. I still need a lot of time on that site

I would caution you with this expectation, freerolls and low stakes cash games are played way different. They are played much looser than cash tournies and larger stakes. For example, I'm sitting in a a freeroll right now on ACR and 3 people went all-in first hand: JJ, A2, and K9. Thankfully Jacks held up.

another Thing Buddy , if u Play too many freerolls , then it ll affect your mtt games big time .. so be careful for playing too many freerolls. and 20% itm in mtts are good . not bad at all. and regarding the calling range , ya if you make it Little bit tighter , then you will see how much it ll make difference to your mtt stats. ppl do call too lightly , but dont shove wide often. so that we nd to rectify that only

Thanks again you all for the replies. To add some, I did play a $60 GTD at FF and places 20th, so may have got my money back. But I'm right back playing my level for cash and MTT buyins. There is no reason to go down. Yesterday I also played the $500 GTD $2 Special at FF, and placed 9th for $10, so I think I won $4. But that's far from what I expect out of myself. I have to keep trying at FF. I'll hit a good one sooner or later. Oh and you all know how negative I been about being able to win at ACR/BCP. I've already posted about the $168 I won a few days ago. Well played the $300 GTD Turbo Deep at BCP last night and took 2nd for $81. That gives me a real good BR there. Carbon is the same. Winning at cash, and losing at MTTs. So I guess this means that I need to work on doing better at FF. You guys let me know what you think
