Many other networks you're playing alot of smaller field stuff. Sometimes not as appealing (no huge payouts) but more practical for sure.

Not sure what you mean? Did you read the OP's linked article? My response was just a suggestion for MTT players who typically play large-field MTT's (based on the info. the article was providing for us). Basically a way to help offset the expectation of variance (over a decent sample size) that even a solid 'winning' MTT player can have. Quite awhile back, I actually came across a number of players who were all solid MTT players (on FTP) and noticed many of them were regs. in the 45man sng's. Google-searched some of their names & discovered that many of them knew each other as there was a poker forum
devoted to the 45man game (reg. speed blinds on FTP).
