I'm sure there is a thread out there about this but I didn't know how to word it in the search. What advantages are there to multitabling lower stakes vs just playing one table at a higher stake? Currently I play the 9 man $2 turbo sng's but I've played a few $6's and they play really similar. Should I switch to single tabling $6's or multitabling $2's???

Playing one table, you can expect your ROI to be better, but your going to experience more variance. The rake is better, but the competition starts to become a little better also.

By playing multiple tables at a lower limit, your ROI should be a little smaller, but you can expect less variance, if your able to play many tables, your win rate should be close to playing one $6 table. The rake is worse at these lower limits, but so is the competition. Also another advantage is that you can play more games and get more experience.

You should be playing within the bankroll limits. If the $6 table is in your price range then go for it. But if you start losing then drop back down until you build it back up.

I've gotten out of SNG's lately (especially hold em), but for awhile I was playing quite a few turbo's. The way I play (very tight in the early stages) I'd go nuts playing only 1 at a time, or even 2. I was mostly playing 4 or 6 $2 turbo's. I'd stick with the multitabling. That way, once you build your bankroll you'll be used to it and can do the same at the $6 level.

all depend by your bankroll... if you think you have enough money you can play multitable 6 $...

When you multi-table you will obviously see more hands per hour. This is always a good thing in my opinion. I think the only time you should be playing one table is when you are new to a level and you need more concentration at that level. Otherwise you want to play as many as you can handle. For me that usually does not go higher than 4. YMMV!
