Multiple tourneys online at the same time affecting play?

I just got busted out of two tourneys on Bovada just now. I was playing the $10/ $8000 Guaranteed and a 25 PTS/ $5000 PTS Freeroll Qualifier(Turbo). Both tourneys started at about the same time. I started out great in both tourneys but after about an hour I noticed that my stack, although I maintained above average, had fell dangerously low compared to blinds and it just seemed to happen so quick. Of course when I started both tourneys I was well aware one was a turbo and the other was a 12minute level, but I just fell short of giving proper attention needed to get my stack where I needed it to be with the amount of time I had. Has anyone else had this problem. Any tips from fellow CC members?

For me, I usually group tables by tourney type. (12 min vs Turbo). Sometimes I would write a note for myself that I'm playing a turbo tournament or a qualifier with the amount of seats paying to remind myself in case I forget or lose awareness.

I've done this before where you're playing a mix of standard and turbos. I ended up not giving turbos the attention they need. It's just somthing you need to be aware of and shouldn't be a problem if you come up with a strategy like grouping the tables and just reminding yourself that with the turbos you need to give it more attention

I've never considered posting a note to help remind myself I need to stay focused and all. I'm going in for another round and entering the $10/ $5000 Guaranteed(Turbo), starts in 3 minutes and it is the only one I will be playing so I WILL BE FOCUSED!!! Thanks for the tips brothers and/or sisters!!

I make the screen bigger in the tourney that needs my most attention

The criteria I used are basically:
#1 size of buy in
#2 my M in each tourney (the lower M requires more attention)
#3 tourney stage (i.e. bubble or final table etc.)
#4 prize pool...as a tie breaker if all other factors are roughly equal, the higher prize pool gets more attention

as tourney dynamics change, I can change the screen size

for instance if I am average stack in the early stages of a standard length tourney, that screen will be smaller....unless the buy in was a lot bigger

I feel playing one tourney at a time is best cause obviously you can give the tourney the attention it needs. But who wants to do that? :) I do play more than one at times and I am going to try some of the things mentioned above to improve how my play is to give focus and play well in the tourneys I am in. But no matter how things are, if I am doing really well in one and have a chance to go deep, when I go out in the others games I am playing, I will not buy into another until the tourney I am doing well in is over or I go out. Cant wait to see what others do to keep their focus.

I can pay enough attention to keep two going at once but I try to stick to the same structure for both even if they begin at different times or on different sites. It doesnt seem to affect my play either way.

Double Trouble

Sorry to hear about that, but it has happened to me also. I would suggest spreading out tournaments an hour or two apart.:smokin:
