Multi tabling SnGs

I have some general questions on everyone's preferences when playing more than one tournament at a time. Currently I am using ignition poker.

Do you try to play the same style/buy in for every table when you multi table? (e.g. Always playing $3/$.30 triple ups)

Do you try to time it so all of your tournaments start around the same time? Or are you ok with starting a tournament while you are in late phases of other games?

Is multi tabling SnGs more mentally taxing to you than doing it with cash games?

I play lower stakes on betonline but the principle should be the same so I'll share my preferences. I usually always play the same exact types (stakes, game type, number of tables/players) just because it's one less variable you have to watch between every table and because every type of game plays differently it's easier to play different tables that are basically the same table. As far as timing is concerned I like to have the tables staggered, so maybe like 2-3 levels difference between starts. This is just something I got comfortable with after trying a few different ways and really just a preference but I would suggest trying different ways out and finding the most comfortable way for you. And finally yeah I think any time you're multi-tabling it takes a lot more out of you, between the stress of watching all the tables and thinking of the many different hands and strategies (sometimes on different tables at the same time) all without falling behind on one table to take over at another table. I'd suggest that you get very good playing one table before you move to two and then keep moving up in table numbers until you either start doing a lot worse or you stop feeling like you have control over the situation. I play 2 to 3 and like to have them staggered time wise also.

On micros I can play up to 4 tables without really putting too much effort trying to learn about players' style etc because I play just for the sake of entertainment (although it has not been very entertaining getting rivered so much). The different micros can be the same buy-in, blinds or different, but I prefer to start them all at the same time so I can finish around the same time.

At higher levels when more money is involved, I only go to a maximum of two tables and they have to be the same game so I can free up my mind to focus on the important things at the tables, and avoid mistakes.

I used to multi-table on pokerstars. I used to play the same buy-in, I didn't have a mixed buy-in strategy.

I had a very set standard playing style. For the late stages, had done a lot of analysis on the type of ranges, given villain stats, to know which spots were profitable.

Not true. I used to keep registering until my laptop/computer couldn't handle any more. I used to have tables behind tables. Was a gamer before, so used to using hot keys.

Yes, if you don't have a set strategy in place. You'll find yourself in spots and you'll have to think about it. That can be gruesome for your mental faculties.
This also comes from the fact that Cash game players can do away with 5 tables, while you have to play more than 30-40 SnGs in a session (4-5 hour session, and I'm being very modest). Volume for a Cash game player means total number of hands played, while volume for tournament grinders means total number of games played.
