Hoping CC isn't thinking *sigh yet another MTT thread lol* Anyway let me cut to the chase.
I'm in profit from playing MTTs roughly $400 online ( £250 GBP conversion ) and i got into the money last month in a local MTT which gave me a profit of just over £700 ( 1084.09 US Dollar )
The problem is I've not had a solid pre meditated strategy playing these tournaments and apart from reading the first couple pages of moshmans SNG I've not studied ( Which is why i am now & taking it serious ) of course being a winning player is all good but i want to be a good solid player.
I'm focusing on playing a tight aggressive strategy during low blinds for the next 10-20 tournaments over the space of a week online as part of my own study. Going to be disciplined and stick to premium hands only for the best part of my low blind play.
Couple of questions, hopefully it don't sound donkish lol
What if after a hour and so of playing i haven't held any premium hands and the blinds have ate up 17 to 25 percent max of my starting chips? ( 500-750 of 3000 ).
Do i loosen up and start playing speculative & strong hands to keep a float?
When is it considered mid tournament? Is this based on the cost of blinds or how the board is playing
Also i read in a post when i was reading these threads that a drill a poker coach taught his student was playing 2 hands a hour and still paying attention & observing the table when not playing hands, anybody tried this if so what did you learn? ( I hope the person who posted this don't mind me trying it lol )
Any input and other drill suggestions i should try would be extremely grateful
Also it would be great if another player wanted to study with me ( Please no time wasters ) if so feel free to private message me your email/skypes on here.
