you need to find the strategy that works for you, there are many for MTT and there are different ones for SNG because they both require different skill sets
SNG is based on survival, and MTTs are based on stack preservation + growth

but if your asking for a specific strategy then all i can suggest is playing tight when your opponents are loose, and playing loose when they are tight

Survival? Stack preservation? Isnt they both based on winning aspirations? We want to win the tourney not to make a big stack also like in sng we dont want to survive but take the #1 imao ;)

You just said the same thing as me lol,

SNG is based on survival

MTT is based on Stack preservation + growth

i didnt say that we want a big stack, i was saying we dont want to waste our chips, instead keep our stack growing throughout the tournament, this way we can take down the tournament on the final table and end in that number 1 spot :)

Define what kind of player your are first and start using that to your advantage. Are you good at bluffing are u good at getting value. Are u good at surviving, Play to ur strengths. Do u end up cashing. Not cashing , start figuring out your trends and working on ur game and develop it , you can't learn it all in one day and it's a lot of trial and error

It will be the strategy of SNG and the same of MTT because I play in the same style of SNG and I always flinch at MTT tables Which is the best strategy

I believe that the same strategy could be used in both sng and mtt. In any poker scenario the object is to win. the blinds are increasing on a scheduled basis in both. I sometimes use the sng mentality when playing mtts just trying to survive each table as long as i possibly can. I also use a mtt mentality when playing in a sng thinking of it as such of a final table. You need to play whatever way feels most comfortable to you.

I'd say there are far more similarities than difference between the to. One of the differences that are glaring are the time of completion. This equates to some players becoming mentally fatigued in the MTTs and will lose focus.
However even some sNg players are their to try to win "quickly" and they may not play optimally.

I usually use the bigstack strategy in the early stages of the tournament and when we are close to the bubble I use an SNG strategy

Generally I play a bit tighter in SNGs, just because I think it's harder to get in the money at SNGs. Also I play very aggressive when I'm in a hand. But of course it all depends on things like blinds structure and stack seize. But generally SNGs are faster than MTTs, that's also why you need to be very aggressive when the blinds get bigger.
