Sure first place is not such a large amount but the pay jumps are much more significant when you get to the money.
I might be running like a god, but that has been the case then for 4/5 months now, I play the nightly 2k on Carbon alot and I seriously cash 4/5 out 7 times, but keep in mind that is a little skewed from the fact that I re-buy in ( I set a limit of no more then 2 entries, if in lose my stack twice it's just not ment to be ) so when I min cash my profit is only like $.30 or something small like that, but sometimes I can run deep.
And I am working on not playing so tight, so that I am not just cashing and busting. I am sure my percentages will go down but I will take more money down with it. I think a part of it is at the micro MTTs there is a huge amount of bad players, so the game is soft, most players know the concepts, M's / BB, short / large stack play, hand ranges, tilt control, etc., but they seem not to apply them. it's really not that hard to cash playing a solid TAG style. And with the fact that they can just re-buy in for 3 hours, they have no problems calling an all-in with middle pair or tp/wk, just to find me with a set or the nut flush.
