Just wondering how many people consider them selves a tournament player only? I have been doing really well in MTT's with some good results in $1 and $6 games. I have tried playing cash tables with no luck at all and S&G tables Ive had very mixed results. I only play 3 times a fortnight on my days off and have had a win, 2 seconds and a 4th in the last 2 weeks (4 days of play).

Am I being silly just playing MMT or should I keep persevering with S&G games? Thoughts.

Just as you wish, what you like and what you're good at.
I could say I only play MTT (bad though), but was planning to go playing STT a while ago.
Just didn't happen yet.
I love poker, but what makes it special, is reaching a FT in a MTT, and that's one of the reasons I stick to MTT.
It's great fun for me and playing cash tables to me, is much less fun.

I used to consider myself just a MTT player. I've always been good at cashing but never got anywhere near any final tables so I've found my bankroll has only increased at a slow rate. I've recently started playing SnGs which have been good fun and I feel they are good training for when I do start making final tables in MTTs.

As for whether you're bing silly or not just playing MTTs, I think it's worth trying a range of options and then finding out which you enjoy the most. MTTs clearly suit you so it makes sense for you to continue with them. I tried playing cash games and didn't like them so I'm staying away from them for the time being. Each to their own!
