What do the blinds start at?
How often do the blinds go up?

I would recommend for basic study the sections regarding Inflection Point in the Harrington on Hold'em book set. It is important to understand your chip stack and opening ranges as dictated by how many orbits you can make it and hands you can see. You will probably understand that in many situation it is going to be correct to shove, however having all players in the tournament short stacked, strategy might dictate a strategy using more min bets for value, but understanding when you need to get it in is huge...

Best of luck!

It's basically a shortstacked turbo. Best tip is to pay attention to your table and take chances when they come - you won't survive to final table without a bit of aggression and a lot of luck.

There will be a lot of luck. Is this the only game you can afford to play? I'd avoid it at all costs myself. But basically you'll need to wait for a big hand and stack off 1-2 times.

Maybe you can afford 1-2 limps if the odds are there, but chances are someone will raise it big if they are smart.

Flip more.

Shove/call shoves/3 bet shove with a wider range.

Don't limp small pairs.

It is very difficult to play short stack tournament. You need a little luck and be very cautious, because you can quickly exit the tournament. And when you're playing a hand, you have to be aggressive to win the pot.

Good luck bro!

Loosers will have several players at the beginning and for being a turbo tournament and still short stack , your range of hands will have to be larger and able to steal the blinds will help you stay alive in the tournament.

I'm not a fan of Hyper MTT SNG and HU Hypers are fine, the variance are huge and you need a bankroll to support that. These should always be played aggressively shoves and 3bets and re shoves should be in your range.

Use your position to exploit weaknesses more often, and widen your range.

Definitely a short stack turbo.

Have at least win a pot in an orbit just to survive.

At the beginning, you can afford to limp. But at middle/late stage, play is either fold or shove because of limited stacks.

With 25 BB there's very few places to limp. Your goal is to get A10+ or a strong pocket pair, maybe 10++ and get someone all in against you pre flop (Shove is pushing all your chips in).

Everything always depends on your table.

I really wouldn't be limping in at all in early stages since blinds go up so fast. You aren't getting implied odds to set-mine. Maybe at the lowest level with 25BBs since that's about how much you want to make in implied odds when set-mining. After that, if blinds go up to 15/30, you only have 16 BBs and set-mining is no longer profitable. Honestly, I don't even think set-mining should be an option at all in this game, except in situations where you're in the BB, get good odds preflop, and you close the action.

From the start, you should be folding, raising, or shoving. I don't like limping in with anything at the early stages since you're just spewing chips and those chips will be much more useful by stage 3 if blinds are at 20/40.

Hyper turbos are all about playing the player more than the hands I feel

OP is right, there is a lot of luck involved in short stack tournaments. You need to learn calling and shoving ranges correctly to be able to be successful.

And with the varience in these turbos you'll need a BR to allow the swings.
