So badly underrolled for SCOOP. Could really do with binking a win in one of the events.

Think I'll play event 1 $27 6-max
event 7 $7.50 HU (usually people are ridic bad at these)
event 14 $7.50 ante up (like this format)
a few other $27 games and $11games
if I'm up after all those games I'll have a shot at $109 ME.

Pretty much ignoring BRM for the time being. I used to rule at BRM, recently I've just been ignoring it

seems unlikely you'll bink a win. pretty excited for ante up, ran deep in it last year (40th or so) and the play was atrocious. definitely missing MiniFTOPS, only 1 low series on a really big site sucks (Stars.fr had a little one and so did Winamax but they don't compare)

In. I guess.

I'm doing great so far... I haven't played any yet...

LOL. I hear ya. The way I played/ran last month the LESS I play the HIGHER my EV is (or, I should say less negative it is) . No real concrete goals this month (other than a big dose of rungood).

I think I'll make this a "sorting things out" month. By that I mean putting some thought into just wtf I'm doing with poker and what I'd like to do.

A little background..... Been playing online for about 3-4 years total. Just small stuff never played higher than 10nl cash or about $3-5 MTT and $3 STT. Usually make around $1K profit/year. Just pocket money, really, which I usually withdraw at some point in the year and take a little vacation/ buy some toys/etc.

Don't know if I have the desire/ability to ever make this more than a hobby and, tbh, see nothing really wrong with that. Still every once in awhile I do get to thinking..... "What if....."

Also really, really need to decide which format I'm going to play. In the past the bulk of my winnings have come from cash games. I started-out good at STT when I made the switch 3-4 months ago, but since then I'm about break-even or slightly ahead only. Last month I actually lost money, which was a first, and not very pleasant, experience. Comfortably rolled for my small losses, so that's not the issue. Also ran well below EV so I assume these games will be profitable for me in the long run.

So..... I don't know....sorry for the long, rambling post. Right now I'm on the fence. I do enjoy SnGs and they seem like they would be profitable for me eventually, especially if I actually put a little study-time in and quit just "winging-it" so much. On the other hand, I'm already a long-term winner at cash, although very small stakes. Just not sure where I should put my effort. Right now I'm leaning towards cash if I decide to play more seriously and MTT/STT if I opt for the "playing more for fun" route.

Good start to the month -- 4 STTs played, 40+% ROI. Totally sustainable. ;)

Goal is to play 300+ games, and not get lured into poor BRM by the SCOOP sirens.... :)

GL all

Only going to be able to get in 6 live tournaments this month with the way things are shaping up. Just enough to stay focused for the big one on June 2&3.

Not a bad start for May. 120 bucks on a four dollar investment.

This pokerz stuff is fun... :)

Yea I'm aware it's pretty unlikely, I'm a wishful thinker though lol.
I'm sure when people play ante up tourneys they forget everything they have ever learnt about poker. I've seen decent winners over big sample sizes do some very odd things in these tourneys.

people were making horrible mistakes deep, like stupid bet sizing and not open limping every hand

Then BB surrenders his blinds with like 10000/1 odds to call.

The most eipc mistake people seem to make is stacking off with something like two pair when we've had 7 to flop and they are just never good given action.
