hi guys recently just went and played a live tourney yesterday and was pleased with the way i played...
it was 30$ for 100k in chips with levels increasing every 10 minutes... there were between 35-40 entrants and your buy-in could actually vary from min 40k to max 100k, i recieved max for 30$ becuase i was there and hour early for sign up...
anyways within the first half hour i had doubled up on a couple of nice hands, around first break(1 hour in) i had around 240k, i was sitting pretty in my eyes, and i believe the table had some good respect for me becuase of the strength of the hand i was showing down....
so kinda long story short, i hung on for and additional hour and a half til second break and at that time i had around 325k and blinds i believe were at 25k and 50k, after that break the final table opened up about 10 min in and top 4 got paid...
well i played one pot at final and had top pair with top kicker and got rivered by a donkish two pair, guy had Q8s and i had AQ and i PFR him but he had chips back i guess so whatever thats besies the point..
i ended up 6th and 2 out of the money which was the only real bummer of the night, so to the whole point of this thread lmao:D :D
looking back on my night i was thinking about the two times i had AA in the BB and i shoved all....
i know iknow your probably thinking wtf would you do that for!
but one time there were like 6 limpers and the blinds were 30k so i feel it was justified picking up the 210k (including my blind) pot.
but the 2nd time there were only 2 other people in the pot and the button was extremely short stacked(less than 1bb back) and the other guy had a big stack probably around 500k i had about 275 or so i believe, but i shoved all in again with aces thinking the big stack would call becuase i was potraying pretty lose strstegy at that point in the tourney, there were about 14 left....but he folded and of course the short stack committed becuase he was already pot committed but anyways thats the one hand i really look back on wishing i would have slowed way down and tried for more money out of the big stack, becuase with that type of hand and a min raise he was probably coming in the pot since he probably knew the short stack was going to get it in too.....
anyways i just wanted to share that with everyone becuase i feel i played well all night except for when i had the nuts PF... which should have been the time when it was easiet to do the right thing..
i believe that play to be the reason i didnt cash:mad:
next time i have aces in the BB in that same situation i will definately be doing it a little differently,
whats ironic is i was knocked out UTG with pocket 4s which everyone folded around to the BB(i was in for 175k and blinds were going up next hand to 40k and 80k)who called me with ACES!!! lolol
i guess the BB special for the night was rockets lol,
thanks for taking the time for reading my post guys..any input will be appreciated

We can't really tell whether or not open shoving the aces from bb was bad in the first situation was bad since you haven't told us what your stack size was. In the second situation, you haven't told us what the blinds were so it's the same problem.
