Today i have been on an adventure. I have split my time between freerolls
and those super micro turbos. 300 chips to start. I have more cashes than not and 2x as many 1st places as 2nd so here's my ideas on a good way to play these, however I am no expert
1st of all, be patient. even though you are shortstacked. everyone else is too. No need to go crazy with suited connectors or weak suited aces.
2nd AK in these are just about as good as AA. Since players are so short stacked to begin with, they will ship it with any ace so if you see big slick take that mofo for a walk.
3rd small and medium pocket pair are pretty raggish preflop from early position. At best your flipping and at worst you're crushed.
4th It's pretty much all in or fold till your 3 maybe 4 handed. Don't get cute, just shove.
5th There is NO starting hand good enough to call 2+ all ins preflop. Even the beloved AA should be folded. I know, you are saying I am crazy but AA and KK are much weaker in multiway pots. Just fold.
6th Down to 2 or 3 handed, be patient. As long as you have chips, you can make a run. If you are patient, you will often find yourself heads up trailing 2-1 in chips. No worries. You still have plenty of time to double up twice.
Anyways these are just my thoughts from today. More to come throughout the week. Good results to follow
