Hi guys,

I would like your opinion on the following hand.

I was playing in 4.4$ buyin micromillion, 10min levels and I was in the last 200 people.

I was in the MP with 12 BB, before the cutoff. and I had KTs. Everybody folded to me and I shoved, taking into consideration that only the button was playing lag. The rest were real nits.

I shoved and the SB has AJo and the BB has KK and I've lost.

I was making this shove because I'm always playing for the final table:).

You think it was a good shove?

It would depend on how much your three opponents had (if they all had you covered) i'll probably fold outright. I would have waited for a better hand. Pairs or Ace with a good kicker are good enough for me to shove all in.

KK always seems to crack my late-stage AK..., okay shove for what it's worth. Important to live and let live. You'll make better decisions.

well:
1. you would've lost any way. NO WAY they are folding AJ or KK
2. yes KTs is a questinable hand but HOPING for AA next hand would be foolish
3. you could have 4-5bb raisesd and fish for info about your ops but you would lose any fold equity. If they would (AND THEY WOULD) reraise you could get away from the hand with 8 bb. hoping for better times (does not mean they would come =) )

conc.: the play was good dont sweat it too much

I was thinking that you have to take this kind of risks in order to reach the final table. I remembered that 90% of the time that I've reached the final table, I was short, so in this scenario most probably I've placed between 5th and 9th place.

I remember one final table that I got there being 3rd in chips and I won the tournament.

For this reason, I've said to make this play.

You were too low stacked. A shove there is not to blame but...
You could have waited until you were 5-8 BB for a shove.
I always wait for an A to shove if I have more than 10BB because it gives you more chances of winning even if you don't connect with the board.

Another think that I've learn lately is that you better take a shot with 10-12 BB with a decent card, trying to double up.. than wait until you reach 5-6BB. With 5-6BB your opponents you will call you much more often and even if you double up, you will still be short.

Plus the fact that I got unlucky because the real nits that called me had AJ and KK:))). My general concept in this shove was that I can be called by the button with a very wide range (since he was a lag) and the nits will fold.

consider raising 2.2x bb and if the nits shove you know you're beat

I didn't want to do this because the button was a lag and he will have position on me.
