Got like 80 something out of 4k entries today on stars, I got very very very lucky to run that deep, its kind of insane how good you have to run to get that deep, I literally could not lose with whatever I had including Q4 etc. I would like to think my play has improved but I don't think it is a major improvement. It's not like it was a shove-ament but not too far off either at some points, I was very disappointed in my finish but yet again it was a good run, final table money was in the hundreds and 1st got 1.2k, basically I made some big mistakes primarily because of mistakes in my poker mindset which is a shame because it is something I want to pride myself on and at times I cannot, One of the self doubts that comes in is such things like when will I run this deep again or deeper etc. What do you guys think maybe I should switch-over to more standard 10 min blind + tourneys to lessen the variance or is just playing more turbos with your best play not a bad option either?

if you have high tolerance for suckouts i'd say stick with turbos, they are less painful when you cash/bust out because you don't lose too much time in them.

its a known fact that in turbos there is higher varience, but they are beatable, the problem is it takes a whole lot longer till you get that big score, since most of the time even once you make it to a final table nobody really has a stack to play with, and even if your lucky enough to get a stack, your opponents wont have one so you still cant really play them in the later stages that is

Turbos can be brutal to say the least. I've been playing the 180 man turbos and running worse than I have ever done before.

Currently, I am on a downswing of 150 buy-ins over a 500 game sample, yet have been a long-term winner of around 30% ROI in them over a couple of thousand games.

180 turbo mans are brutal, Im weary of them because I either always seem to get put all in when holding a monster and coolered. or you get called by someone holding a relitively weak holding
the higher the buy in the sicker my bad beats seem to be,
Though I do find the $35 180's pretty easy to accumalate chips, better players will fold better and hands and give credit for whatever image your representing
I've cashed just as many times in those as the lower.

3 top 50 finishes this week in 4 figure fields, the strongest skill you can have for the turbo mtt's is to be fearless close to thebubble, get the chips shipped in with a wider range, rough example : fold equity x your 40% hand winning equity for suited connecters etc or your 52% for pairs will give you a profitable return
