Hi guys,

I would like your opinion on the following situation.

SNG 180 man, micro buy in.

Final 11, almost FT bubble. The biggest stack at the table (around 30BB), minraised from Hijack.

The button, which has 10BB, called (he is a fish, calling a lot) and you are in SB, 11BB having let's say A2s-A5s. Actually I think I had A3s.

I've decided to shove, because I always play to win:)), and considered that the villain wanted to bully us with his big stack, being the FT bubble.

You will proceed the same and wait for the FT?

I'm asking this because, 2 years ago I would have folded this, taking into consideration that I could reach the FT and if I would have double up there, I could get in the first 3 places without any problems.

I would also call and look cheap at the flop.

Yeah, also a call would have been good, but it never cross my mind last night. When I see this big stack trying to bully the table, most of the time, I will shove them with decent cards(but this depends on opponent, stacks, tournament, etc) There is no standard move.

I'm not calling a lot with 11BB, out of position, even if the odds were great. The problem is that, if you hit, most of the time you don't get paid.

I would have done exactly the same, because you have to play in the first place and not sit and pray to get to the prizes 1BB)))

Axs hands are brilliant for that kind of move especially against the bully of the table. Needless to say that you have the A blocker and bully's range is wide open here because of his stack size and the stage of the tournament[ FT bubble]. He tries to steal as many blinds as he can prior to the FT.

My only objection here is that you re steal against two opponents and not one , although the player on the BTN is a passive one. On the one hand is more likely to get called because you are against two and not one opponent but on the other hand your move here indicates to someone observant that your range in almost nutted!

Either way I would do the same move but always take into consideration the table dynamics! I would prefer to eliminate on the bubble than make the FT with 2 big blinds ;)

Tx for the answer:). This was the idea, to reach FT with a decent stack:)
