Is there a massive difference from micro to low stake mtt's ?
When i switch from $1-$3 buyins to $7 i dont see much change in the style of play. When i have played $10 buyins the standard of play does seem to improve. So would $7 still be classed as micro. I suppose it might vary from site to site though.

On Carbon 1-3$ buyins run a lot like freerolls imo. It could have something to do with the structure of the tournaments though b/c almost every mtt under $5 are turbo's.

A $10 deepstack reg speed tournament is going to play a lot different than 1.10 unlimited rebuy turbo.

If you feel comfortable with your game at those micro levels, you might find it refreshing to play a $25 ish game.

I remember when I used to feel good about my micro game that I was not blown out of the water playing those bigger games, and did well in them.

I find $11 turbo tournaments to be shove first and ask questions later.

There are some good structure mtt's on Merge $5 3K 15 min 500 Gtd, $2 5K 15 min $100 Gtd. Those are 2 of my favorite daily micros.

if you ask me micros are anything up to 10 dollars ,either that be 10NL or that be a 10$mtt. in cash even 25NL may be considered to be micros by many but in mtt's i dont think a 22$ buy in tourney is cheap enough to be called a micro event.

I think we should say low buyin= zero to $10.00 this is the area I also like to play in. But I think your write the styles pretty much the same. I do not really believe in playing high stakes online. In my opinion high stakes should be played in person.

Would you 2 care to elaborate why? I mean I don't play high stakes b/c I don't have a bankroll for it. Actually don't have the bankroll for low stakes right now but if I did I would play whatever my bankroll allowed.

Why would you only play low stakes online? Is it b/c the live fields are softer? I haven't played any live tournaments except for home game 20$ buy in stuff.

For me i play low stakes online fo fun, but if i was buying into a tourney for £50 or more i would be looking to play at a casino, better read on opponents more atmosphere and i would find it easier to concentrate over a long session.

SickBeatz I play only micros online for a couple reasons. Playing in the USA and regulation up in the air we could lose our online rolls at anytime. Another reason is volume, I can multi table a lot more games at the micro level without depleting my roll significantly.

The difference should not be how you see your opponents, rather how you see your bankroll. If your rolled for both buy ins, then you should mix according to how much you wish to put your roll at risk. So if you have confidencce in your micro game, then you should be willing to play the highest stakes you can according to BRM.
Fwiw micro<low=mid<<<<high
low(5-20)
mid(20-60)

That makes sense, from your other thread you seem to be crushing the micro stakes so if it ain't broke don't fix it ;)
