7/2 PLO Hand Review

4 players limp to me in the CO.

I raise to 480 (pot) with Ts-9s-Td-As. 3 callers (button, UTG, UTG+1)

4-way to the flop: 5d, 4h, 10c

Action checked to me, I raise 1,414. Button calls.

Heads-up to the turn: Kh

I bet 2/3 pot bc 1) I know I'm best here and 2) I need the board to pair, so if he's chasing the flush and/or straight I need to be aggressive. In fact, I bet his exact stack size.

Opponent calls all-in.

River: 2s

He shows: Qd-4d-3h-6h

With a straight AND a flush draw on the turn, I was drawing to pair the board. He ends up getting there.

I did end up re-buying and placing 2nd in this tournament so I'm very pleased. But, this particular PLO hand is a good one to review. I've played this player NLHE before, but not PLO prior to this game.

What do you think? Should I have slow played to the river?

7/4
$6, $500gtd
Blinds 100/400/800

me: sb Ks-Jd, I have 16,950 to start with.

UTG raises 2x. Cutoff and I call.

Flop: 2s-4h-Kh

I check, UTG raises to 3,150. Cutoff shoves 10,602.

I fold my kings. Put him on trips or flush draw. He'd been sucking out a lot against all players.

Ended up placing 3rd in this tournament. Makes for a happy 4th of July!!

Nice finish. Can you please post the HH or at least include the stack sizes of the other players?

I'm not too familiar with omaha, so hopefully another member can answer this.

Fold preflop.
You're out of position with 20bbs and a poor starting hand that needs to hit big to know where you're at.
And that is the only way you're going to win the hand - If you miss, you're out of position with a bad hand on a dry board, where you will undoubtedly be faced with a CBet, and you don't really have the stack to be playing back.
AND you're not closing the action.
