I'm playing poker this month!

- Play >1k SNGs
- Get back to 12-tabling (at 10 at the mo but it's a bit uncomfortable 'cos I'm out of practice lole)
- Get Goldstar
- Go to the casino that's about 5 minutes walk away from me and play in one of their donkaments
- Make a bit of monies

Already off to a fun start

Hello Debi, i just wanna ask u that when u say coaching, do u mean only poker game coaching or does it even include psychology coaching? Cause i think studying psychology also helps a lot in poker. Forgive me if i am wrong...
Wat i mean is , though how much we practice or learn, its ultimately our mind which has to decide the next move and to control ur mind and have it make the right decision as well as to estimate others mind, i personally think that psychology plays a role there...;)
Anyways good luck with ur mission debs...:ridinghor

Oh and by the way, my goal this march is to keep playing and enjoying poker !!!Money is bound to come anyways !!!:D

My coach is a poker coach. But there are some good mental coaches out there like Jared Tendler.

debi doesn't need a psych coach yet given that she doesn't even know how to play poker.

Jared Tendler is a well known mental coach, most famous probably for working with Dusty Schmidt (or at least that's how I know of him).

I'm not going to have all that much time to play this month (grrr Chemical Engineering major...), but I'm gonna try to play 75 +/- $5.50 SNG's this month, on Full Tilt.

Would anyone wanna sweat me 4-tabling the $11 SNG's, by chance? I can crush the $5.50's, but am not nearly as successful (over a small sample) at the $11's.

Ok, last time I had a bonus at FTP I failed to clear it playing standard SnG's (stupid 6max ST kick).

Let's see how much of this one I can clear playing the $12's.

Need 240 (really 238 but that just looks goofy) to do it.

So there's my monthly goal.

So, I asked pokerstars to send me a list of all $1.50 + .25 18-seat Turbo SNGs I've played so far. I think its my best game and I find it pretty soft and easy to beat.

So far, I've played 57 games and I'm up $37.95 for an ROI of 38.05%.

...It's not a lot of games played. I guess I really don't play them as often as I thought. But knowing that I'm doing somewhat ok (making a profit). On top of that, I did make $150 when I hit the low orbit leader board for battle of the planets, but Im not going to add that as a profit. Just a bonus.

And wow, is my graph swingy! I can't post a pic up now, but sheesh...Especially when I first started playing on stars back in 09. I guess I didn't really understand turbo SNGs or MT SNGs at all and it really shows.

So, yeah...maybe I'll stick with these for a while.

I've never posted to this thread before as I'm conscious that my goals are pretty weedy compared to some of the posters on here but anyway here are my monthly aims...:

1) Play 50 SNG's at $2 + $0.25
2) Achieve ROI > 25%
3) Multitable where possible and maybe move up to 3 tables
4) Finish Collin Moshmann book and apply the principles!
5) Not get seduced by AQ hands.....

All this is subject to a house move that takes place next week which may reduce my time at the tables - suspect my girlfriend will have an issue with me playing poker when there is all sorts of stuff to do around the house!

Good luck to all

Mark

Here is my graph for the 18-seat $1.50 + .25 Turbo SNGs...

Love the swings...going to continue playing them for this month if I can. Probably will only get around 75-100 games in, maybe less. I only 2-3 table at a time.

Also, will be trying for BOP again.
