I asked a question on these boards similar to this before, but it was before I started multi-tabling. Obviously its way easier to get a read on a player when you play just one table the whole time, but I've started 3-tabling the $2 games and everything is fine except all I'm basing ranges on is VPIP. I use the stats to determine if a player is solid or a fish, then try to go from there. However, I still have problems because the early hands "dilute" the later ones, so I miss some players tightening up because they played so many hands early on and their VPIP is through the roof!

Hope this makes sense, but aside from VPIP, can any other stat help determine a players range? Furthermore, should I take VPIP as a literal percentage (i.e. VPIP of 20 = approximately shoving 20% of hands?) How do you fellow multi-tablers do it, especially the people doing like 10 tables at once????

VPIP is the range villian is ready to put $ into the pot pre.

It's not their shoving range.

I find that their early+mid preflop raising range tends to be close to their shoving range later.

That's a great idea, I'll have to figure out how to do that with PT3.
