Does anyone have some more information on this? Are we talking here about freerolls where you need to be in the top 0.001% to go to the sattelite?

Also, if you unsubscribe and 'sell' your ticket, don't you get T-money in return?

First....there's different kind of satellites, as there's also a difference between tickets to win, compared to entries to win.
Some satellites reward tickets which have to be used for a certain tournament or a certain series of tournaments.
These tickets can not be changed into money, so if you actually don't want to play those target tournaments which the tickets are for, avoid these satellites.

The satellites we're basically talking about here, are satellites in which you can win an entry into a tournament.
If you win an entry, you can unregister from the main tournament (unless the main tournament already started) which will reward you Tournament-dollars.
These tournament dollars can be used as you wish for any tournament, but cannot be withdrawn from your account.

For example: for the Sunday Storm at pokerstars with a buy-in of $11 , a lot of satellites are running with buy-ins from a few FPP's upto almost $4.
In case you win one of those, you'll be auto registered in theSunday Storm.
If you unregister from that tournament, you'll have $11 tournament dollars in your account.
These can and will be used for whatever tournament or SnG you want to play.

For example, buy-in into a $1.10 tournament, you use tournament dollars and you'll have $9.90 Tdollars left.

Buy in in a $22 tournament and your $11 Tdollars will be used and on top $11 will be taken from your regular bankroll.

Tournament dollars can not be used for cash game, so if you're actually not willing to play SnG's or tournaments, playing satellites makes no sense.

On a side-note, I mentioned the Sunday Storm satellites because they are very soft and an excellent way to make a bunch of tournament dollars, which can be used for smaller buy-in games.

Another side-note, tournament tickets are to be used for specific tournaments and cannot be used in chunks. Also if not used they will expire.
Tournament dollars do not expire and leave you free to use for whatever tournament you want to play in whatever chunks you want.

Hope this clears up a few things, without you  scratching your head :)

I play satelites,but i don't play on this way.
I play to win so i rly can play on that tourney.
Why you don't wanna try to win that money,ok we are not pros, but if you have a little luck you can take serious money i think that is good way.

I have watched for fun many guys playing on pokerstars 6max hyper sng 2 seats sunday million and more or other high buyin tournament , watched the same 2-3 guys playing again and again , I was counting their winnings and losses .Ok , on that level the competition is high , but I saw that you can make some good T$ this way .
I want to watch many more , low buy in this time satellite sng , and then I'm gonna try playing these satellite sng to see if I can make some T$ money for myself . Cause I heard in the past many use the satellites or steps , using FPPs $ orT$ , to make T$ or enter the tournaments very free .

Well, I just am trying to build a bankroll through freerolls, I must say it works nicely :) sometimes its a few cents u win, sometimes a couple of dollars. but when u just play for the fun of it, it is funny to create a bankroll without depositing :)

Usually satellites are profitable, but some of these have auto-entry option and also satellites are usually hyper-turbos/turbos so you may have some considerable downstreaks as well, as I did and lost about 35-40 buyins for weekend trying to play sattelites for 2.2 and less dollars

Difference between tickets to win, compared to entries to win you win an entry, from the main tournament unless the main tournament already started .

Everything is relative, there are satellites with a huge number of people in the satellites don't have to sit so long as in a normal tournament.

I took the time to look at it, and it seems there are actually few satts where you can earn a decent amount (+15,20$), and actually have a decent chance. Mostly it seems there's a very small buy-in (some starcoins), but then the satt is a hyper-turbo in which the top 1-10% gets a ticket, and worst of all, it has rebuy.

So either I'm missing something, or I think it's best to stick with S&G's if you're on a low bankroll, seems like you gotta be really lucky to get something, and although the price is good, it might be better to just get ITM with s&g's, earn back some buy-ins, and wait for a good final table?

Satellites have completely different structure and strategy comparing to tournaments. That means that you're strategy is very good for satellites. GL
