what do u think is harder. cashing the main event or winning back to back freerolls? idk i was just being dumb and thinking about this so why not post it and see what other people think
Actually, the question was "which is easier: cashing in one large-field tournament (with all the best players in the world) or winning two donkaments in a row."If we're talking large-field freerolls (ie: 5K+) then obviously it'd be easier to win the Main Event than to win two of them twice.
The question doesn't make a great deal of sense though because what you're really asking is "which is easier: winning one large-field donkament or winning two in a row?" and the answer to that is always, obviously, going to be the one that you only have to do once.

how about playing enough freerolls and cashing to buy into the main event?. Just food for thought. Cause that's my goal.
lol ya i want to know how many people actually buy into the main event rather then winning a seat online
In one respect everyone.
Companies like PokerStars and FullTilt are not allowed to buy people in directly to WSOPME, so what they do is that they give you the money in your hand, and then you can do whatever you want with that.
So a lot of online qualifiers takes the money instead.
i just cashed twice back to back in two freerolls yesterday. Did it pretty easy. I cant even imagine playing against all the best players in the world. This should be a no brainer
While I believe that you may be right, that they cannot buy you in directly, I would highly doubt that any major site would allow a player not to buy in to the ME with the money they receive. There must be some sort of agreement in place. The sites really want players to play in the tournament and wear their gear, so I can't imagine they would allow players to skip out on the tournament because they lose all that free advertising.

Free rolls, winning a freeroll is luck.
The main event takes at least skill with luck on your side
I would bet my right arm and both my left leg and arm that phil ivey (Yes, I went there) could not win two freerolls in a row (assuming your talking about the donkfest 7500 people ones)
