I played at the casino two weeks ago in a 50 buy the blinds in the early stages were 25-50 I was in the bb the starting stack the players started with was 10000 chips. I had j8 suited hearts in the bb in a ten handed table. utg folds utg2 calls 50 fold, fold middle position calls fold fold fold the button decides too raise to 150 total sb folds i look at my j8 suited hearts and i decide too call utg2 calls and middle position calls. The flop comes k-q-6 with two hearts on the board. I check, utg two bets out 350 middle position calls the original raiser folds and i decide to call with my flush draw. O the turn the 8 of hearts hit the board i checked my flush utg2 checks middle position bets out 1000 in a 1600 chips in the pot. I decide too play my flush very tricky and call utg2 decides too fold. On the river the king comes out there is 2600 in the pot so i decide too bet 1000 the player in middle position decides too raise 6000 im face with a very difficult decision early in this tournament how would u have played this hand differently and would u have called or folded?

I would shove all-in then call the floor over if I lose, 'cause there are two 8♥'s out.

If you check call turn , check call the river . This makes you look very weak and your allowing villain to bet with a range that you actually beat, while saving chips when your behind.

Don't really like your line here check/call turn , then donk the river small.
To me this looks like a scared blocker bet and villain can put us to a difficult decision.
With two players in the hand im betting the flush on the turn
1 for value
2 to protect the hand
river I check call or bet bigger / fold to raise

Yeah, the first person summarised it up well. But we really shouldn't have called preflop. Yes, it's a suited two gapper, but there is a chance someone can fire back with a re-raise and you've wasted some money.

Against three random hands, J8 has a 29% chance of winning. But give the two limpers a range of 77+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, ATo+, KQo (it's approximately 10% of hands) and give the dealer button suited connectors that didn't hit the King Or Queen and AJ, A10, JJ and TT (this is probably the range he raised with) then you have 20% chance of winning.

But even if the turn was a 7 of hearts, you only lose to Ax, Kx and Qx of hearts or KQ (considering the person's range and that if he had a hand he would have probably raised preflop). If I was to guess what my opponent has, it would be KJ.

I would have probably shoved on him when the flush first hit, but I sometimes try and be tricky as well. In general, I would played that hand, at least called. I have noticed that a lot of players ignore the flush....but it's a tough call with that 2nd king hitting.
