$2,000 gtd r/a - $6 buy in
$500 gtd turbo 6 max -$16 buy in

im new , so i dont know the advantages and disadvatages to each tounrey

I assume a much smaller field in the $16 buy in , but how much smaller?

What typically takes place in a $2.000 gtd with unkimited re buys? it sounds like it could be a lot of recklessness

btw , they start in an hour , so chime in quickly

I agree with newbie. Rebuys are an all out bingo fest, especially nearing the end of the rebuy stage because people know they can buy a double stack plus add on. Now, this can actually benefit you if you are a solid TAG player, but unfortunately you have to catch hands to do well in them, as well as avoid the numerous draws and mediocre hands that are going to play solely because they can rebuy and stack up quickly when hitting.

I would like to say though, the return on investment is very beneficial if you only buy in a single time on Rebuys and then cash because instead of the standard ITM payout of 1.75x to 2x buy in after bubble, it's normally 4x to 6x after the bubble.

If you are new, I suggest you to play the lowest buy-in tournet you can find. You should practice before you play this nuy-in tournaments.

Personally I don't like tourneys with rebuys. I hate when someone makes a super stack in the first five minutes with lucky all-ins preflop

Sorry dont no what I was trying to say lol imo if you like a small to medium sized fields you can do the sng 180 or 90 on stars but if youd like the huge fields then go for micro millions if I remember right your on stars also smaller field=less variabce
Large field=more variance

^This^

It doesn't particularly matter whether you can afford to start higher. If you already have or can quickly acquire the skill needed to win above the entry level, you'll move up soon enough anyway. But if you can't win yet at the entry level, you'll be right where you should be to begin your poker journey.

This is really funny because I prefer rebuys, but if you are new just start simple and play low buy-in regular format MTTs.

if you want to take a big shot on micro. pokerstars
The 60k rebuy is good fun. I almost won just over $15,000 this year from $2.00
2 coolers approaching final table well I was was chip leader,

Sky poker, 888 poker and william hill all have soft tournaments which will really help you out if you are chasing the big cashes

Except for us folks in the US, we're waiting for Pokerstars to be relaunched. I would suggest Bovada but Bovada does not offer regular freerolls (all freerolls are private)

Whats up with the names of the tournaments on bovada?
100k cheap seats ?
45 after
1 after
3 after
5 after
then various $$ gtd tourneys

what do all those names refererence? i wanna know so i dont have to go into tourney info and read all of them

like they have , for example , $1 nl hold em & $100 gtd , both are $1 buy ins , so whats the difference ? other than the gtd is guranteed to have that in the pot ? why do they feel the need to run both ?

oh i see all the after tourneys are turbos ,
the gtds are regular tounrey , no re buys or stupid fast blinds

but whats the difference in a gtd tounrey that is a $10 buy in and a $10 nl hold em tournament on BOVADA

Personally, I prefer Carbon to Bovada. I've played on both and I believe that the micro games are much better on Carbon. Much softer fields and the benefits of a free hud and great promos combined with all of the guaranteed prize pool tourneys makes it very nice to play. As well, they have like 2-4 hour late registration periods, which means for a smart player (someone who never buys in past the 4th-6th blind level depending on whether it's a deep or not), there is a lot of dead money entry late. This increases prize pools and makes it beneficial for someone willing to take the time to grind out the tourney. Also, the mixed and non NLHE games are much better on Carbon because they offer such a good variety of games combined with many players who have absolutely no fundamentals.
