Since I am rather new to online poker, I was wondering what do you think about the <5$ buy-in MTTs and freerolls?

Would you say that freerolls can influence badly on players skill?
Also, is it worth your time to play for several hours and for a small winning against huge number of people (up to 5k players on pokerstars) ? :):)

In cheap tournaments, people often play as well as in freerolls.

PS is very lucky room.i meam that if u play micro mtt u should be very lucky to get deep or even win cause the distance of overy event is to large according to huge amount of players.u can play hundred mutual mtts and have no win .that is one of disadvantages of ps.just choose some other room or play sng for 180pls 1$ byuinn.these one are worth playing on a distance cause huge mtts are going to do minus for your bankroll.gl

I think SnGs are better for beginning than MTTs ..because of variance..you can play some MTTs over the week but if you want to grind a little bit for ur BR than I would choose SnGs

You only play badly when you choose to.

Just because you're playing in a freeroll with a lot of not-so-good players doesn't mean you have to play just as bad. If you choose to and do poorly, then thats on you. If don't choose to, but still play poorly, then you likely have some leaks in your game that need fixing. The good news is, you can fix them and fixing them at the lower stakes is probably a lot better/easier than fixing them at higher stakes.

Don't think that, just because you're playing with bad players, that you can't be successful in the micro-stakes. There are a lot of successful freeroll and low stakes players.

Freerolls are not very predictable, be prepared for losses with AA
