If I'm a tight player and like to raise preflop rather than call but the people never fold and only call should i still continue to raise pre or switch it up and limp and call as well. Or could there be some other strategy that I dont know about. Advice please.

raise pre but raise bigger pre, should discourage players to just call along!

You need to switch it up. Raise, limp, 3-bet, raise bigger, raise smaller.

If a certain player keeps calling you, it tends to mean they are a bit of a fish so you can work out how to outplay them post-flop. You should get a good feel of the players and how the table is playing and then use that info to make a decision. I will c-bet verses these kind of players a huge amount of the time. But then maybe slow down on the turn and river for pot control.

Make them pay when you have a big hand.

Sounds like calling station fish, so play simple ABC poker.

My advice in this scenario:

You should only be raising premium hands from early position. And from early position you should be coming in for a BIG raise. This will limit the amount of callers and build a big pot with your big starting hands when called. Dont worry about seeming too obviously strong since the players have shown they arent respecting raises.

If there are a lot of multiway limped pots then limp in with your suited connectors and smaller pairs to try and hit a hand and cash in against the fish.

If its folded to you in middle or late position you do not have to raise as large since there are less players to go through and you may get position against the blinds.

Middle and late position kind of depends on your comfort level with putting in raises with weaker holdings to play hands in position against bad players. If stacks are deep you can loosen up in later positions if you feel you are a much better post flop player.

If its a fast playing tournament and stacks are short then its important to know which players will raise-fold to shoves, limp-fold to raises etc.

Writing this quick, hope it helps a little!

Yep you are going to have to increase your raise amounts to run off more people. But if you are tight and you have calling stations at the table that is prime time to set them up for playing slow pre-flop and hammering them when the flop hits you. Otherwise be prepared to be called all the way to the river and have more people suck out on you if you miss the flop and try to hang around. Those calling stations can sure get lucky!

I played good the whole tourney miss out on a couple opportunities early. Decided to push allin with pocket queens utg with 25k chips. Blinds were 2000/4000. Big Blind calls me with AK has ton of chips and hits the ace on the flop =(

I dont blame anyone except the poker gods. Nothing i could do just had to get lucky and win that race to keep pushing foward.

If you rise too much and then fold too much as well all players will think that you are a fish and will do anything to steal pots from you. Don´t rise too many times with any hands. Be more selective otherwise you will be too much predictable and it will cost you lot of money.

I play a 45 man freeroll tournament. At the start of the tournament I am very tight in early position. I raise 5x bb with premium hands in early since most of the time you raise will not get respect early in the tourney or because players just want to see more flops before blinds get raised. Always c bet at least 2/3 of pot, if someone hit they will chase, others will chase for pot odds in late position. If you are going to be tight, be aggressive when you get big hands. In late position I limp in with marginal hands and try to hit set, flush, straight- postflop I will be in position to call pot odds if early position players slow play big hands. Don't go broke with one pair, even if they bluff just wait for a better spot. Protect your stack. Pay attention to the players at your table, if you are paying for the tourney you have to do the work.
