For those who have been following my recent adventures in live tourneys (see also this thread and this one):
Am through to Day Two of the 888 Superstack in Birmingham (England), but severely short-stacked.
I was crippled by a beat in a very large pot on the last hand of the day. I raised with KK, player to my left shoved all in. Big blind folded and showed an Ace. I called. My opponent turned over AJo, meaning that he must hit one of the remaining two Aces in the deck to beat me. Guess what the first card dealt was.
I would have been well above average stack and looking good, had I won that. As it stands, I have five big blinds going into Day Two, so must pick a spot to shove more or less immediately. Am quite likely to be out within 15 minutes when we resume tomorrow.
