Hi
I play strictly online right now but am looking to start entering some live tournaments. From what I've seen the blind levels are usually around 60 mins whereas online they sit at between 8-12 for the tourney's I play. My question is, do live tournaments actually give you a lot more time in the blinds or is similar to online because of how much slower the action tends to move online?

From my expierence it's a bit the same.
You play around 15 hands per hour in a live game.

This sounded very low to me, so I Googled ""hands per hour in live poker game". Most answers were in the range of 20 to 35.

The daily tournaments at my home casino have 15 minute blinds. Special events with larger buy-ins usually have longer blinds.

Low stakes live tournies generally have very fast structures because casinos don't make much money off of them and want to keep things moving and get them over with.
