people who play tight and wait for premium hands often rail on limpers who suck out on them. truth is you need to learn to play looser and be the one sucking out! If you are playing small pairs all you need to do is see the flop to look for trips, after that your chance of improving a small pair on turn is not good. HOWEVER! if you are playing 7-6 suited, you want to see the turn and river as much as possible, better to keep the pot small and limp, if you have to call bet on flop it will be a smaller bet if pot is smaller.
someone earlier also mentioned limping early on while the blinds are small which is very true, also EARLY ON is when all the dumb bunnies are still around and you can hit a big hand and double up. Later, good players will make you pay to draw or be so low in chips they shove PF.
