Many players don't like Limit games at all, and Limit Tourneys in general thinking they will take too long.
One of the things about NLHE tournies in all the years I have been playing (7+) is that a tourney will cut the player count in half every hour.
So if they are 3K players at the start, at the first break there will be 1.5k, 2nd hour 750 players...etc..etc. Obviously it breaks down at some point, but that is a pretty good description of how a NL tourney progresses.
I have noticed in the Merge Horse games, all limit versions, that the game goes a lot faster. Today for example, at the first break, where 3160 players started, there are only 593 left at the first break.
This is profound. By the next break, there will be under 100 players left.
What is going on here?
