Who prefers to late register and who prefers to register when the tournament starts?

I used to like to register on time, but after playing some of these large tournaments late reg seems to be the way to go... especially for online play .. in some of these online tournaments you can late reg and the next thing you know you cash... ill be doing more research but was just curious what others do.

I think to late reg cause it's some economy of chips.

Sometimes I collect many many chips in early fazes of tournament because of lots fishies , but sometimes I was busted from same fishes who go all in with lets say 5 9 off. Depends , but I like start tournament from begining .

It all depends on the type of tournament. If it is a freeroll with thousands of players,I usually prefer to go to the end of the registration, because a certain amount of fish lose and the game becomes more like a poker. In all other cases, only early registration.

I like to start on time, and since it's usually a big stack and no ante to start, I can play tight and get a pretty good read on the tables players - which, IMHO, is the main reason to do it; it's cheap to sit and watch the others, pick up some tells. Plus, since I play at this stage tight, they always think I have a big hand later in the game, which when you shift gears at that point, you can amass a decent size stack fairly safely.

I hate the little blinds and when i am in a 5.50 contest i look at it like its a 5 dollar bet. i hate to spend 2 hours playing only to get sucked out after reg end . This way i can either be in to win or out and on to the next one.

late registration is never more profitable than starting a tournament on time because you are missing lots of action when the blinds are low and you can get involved in more hands like speculative hands (small pairs or suited connectors like 78 or 98 on good positions.)
also as soon as the blinds increases you m ratio will be lower and starting the tournament late will make your stack not only below average but also you will become shortstack specially if you register to the tournament 1 hour or more later. so its always best for you to register to the tournament on time or at least before the 5th or 6th level of blinds in deep stack tournaments and before the 2nd or 3rd level of blinds in turbo tournaments.

It depends on how many bb's I'll have when late regging. I would prefer to play at the start of the tournament but sometimes the late reg is just soooo long.

Also depends on the structure of the tournament as well.. Sometimes in tournaments the structure makes the early stages of a tournament pointless and sometimes it makes late regging a bad decision.

I seem to like to late reg in tournaments closer to the cut off. It really depends in what the blinds are at. Deepstack and super stack are great tourneys to do this. Turbos are a bad idea blinds go up way to fast. I late reged in a tourney today 5 minutes before it closed and ended up 3rd so i love late registering.

I agree with the view, that all depends on the tournaments factors such as:
1. Blinds
2. The number of players
3. The number of paid places
4. The value of the prizes
I recently participated in the tournament 888 poker Step to SWOP. The value of the prizes depends on the number of rebuys made. The more chips bought in addition the more prizes. I did a double rebuy and as a result got a ticket to next Step.

I like to late reg on regular speed tournaments, but I don't like to late reg on turbo tournaments. As long as I have at least 20 BBs when I register, I am fine with late regging. I signed up late for a Carbon tourney last night (starting stack of 5K) and within 20 minutes, had more than 30K chips and was in sixth place. Okay, so I busted out an hour later just shy of the bubble, but the point is I made up for missing the first 80 minutes of play rather quickly.

I do not quite understand the title of this thread but so generally understood I like to check in at the beginning or start of the tournament as not to run into disadvantages , but there were tournaments where I have come to charges searched me almost at the end and hopefully to bend a couple of times I could put on average and then fold the same average , is according to faith that has each since the late registration, to my point of view it implies that the blinds are high and are risks of running to see what happens , I always say that the real tournament starts when registration closes and there are those who are neither more nor less he starts the countdown ...

I prefer start a Regular or deep tournament at the beginning and Turbo and Hyper short stack tournaments I prefer to late register when having a good Push/fold range will get you stacking.

I like yo use late reg depending on buy-in and chip size to start with. It also allows you to miss many of the all-in donkeys in the first 45 mins of play and if you play well more often than not you end up in the money, or at least I have found that playing micro / small buy-in levels at P:S.

so who prefers to late reg and who prefers to be butt in seat and start? i used to like to get there on time, but after playing some of these bis late reg seems to be the way to go... especially for online play .. in some of these online tours u can late reg get big quick and next thing you know cash... ill be doing more research but was just curious
Ill put it this way when it comes time to decide late reg. vs. normal reg. (at least my theory calculates the best entry point to tournaments based on this formula!
:canabis: Do I have a rough estimate of enongh Kush (any form, if using oil remember 4 to 1 potency level differences. (+1 if you are ready)
:canabis: Am I in the right state of being HIGH for my liking , or am I right state state of mind to get faded back and enjoy the high (+1

:smokin:Smoke one get lit, get high, when you get down pandering numerous amazingly in-depth thoughts, look at the shechedule list, see that your tourny of choice is in right now, if its in late reg. Your ready to no worry about distractions just jealous stares from sober water spillers. Thats why is you passed step 1 then you always have 4 jays in the cig pack and fat 20 of straight stank for back up. I20f your game is just now regestering now join soon as your see it then repeat steps 1-3, if my math is right its a 4.20 perfect circle to stay winning, stay high, stay prepared, n go with the flow of the kush

lol thats of a true winners does it ='s Let nature take its course while you enjoy it and win win you can't loose, either got really high had a blast at what you thought was poker until (wait nvm thats the acid win or loose your HIGH.

THATS A WIN EVERYDAY ALLDAY IN BOOK OF 420t
*How to kush your way to greatness by loving life, loving, food, great music, acting/doing what you want, not only are they head bored *sober* They are extremly jealous as they look down and see a diry roach empty cig pack, half warm beer, While you are getting lifted to the victory of Kushkingtin!

hi!
the better option is to play the tournament from the beggining
blinds are small and you can choose better the hands you will play
besides you can see more how your opponents play and act better against them
