Play super tight early and avoid dominated hands such as AQ, KQ etc. Your' big hand nearly always get paid off in these. Also play pocket pairs for cheap to set mine. It is a long way into freerolls before the craziness slows down :)

When you're re-raising limpers... or 3-betting over a raise & call.... put out a BIG BET. You don't want to set off a calling train which is very common in micros & big freerolls. I'd also suggest that when raising limpers.. go with more than the typical 3x +1x for each limper... you'll likely still get action & again will avoid the 'calling train'.

Alright will do.

What's the lowest I should risk my tournament on pre-flop. For example, to some all-in donkey should I be in with pocket tens?

Funny thing is I lost with pocket tens early on against AJ in that exact scenario.

He proved to be a donk from previous hands so I went in with him while he spiked a J on the flop.

sacrifice a live chicken, and prey to joe-boo. Don't forget the cigar and rum and hope to hell your big hands hold up.

I'd rather play loose in those big tournament, since the blind normally rises up quicker than my stack. So you need to win some hands at early game to avoid being short stacked. Also, in freerolls, I don't want to waste hours of time and ending up with winning nothing. So I don't mind to gamble in early game. E.g. I would like to go all in preflop with QQ against AK. In the middle game, when the money is close and my stack is not too big, I play much tighter and fold hands like AQ, JJ... if anyone raises and if I have big stack I would play more aggressive to take advantage of people with short stacks.
