re: Poker & KQ off suite on button?
this question is virtually impossible to answer. There are situations where I would snap fold, snap shove, call, raise, whatever.
What stage of the tournament is it?
Has the pot been opened?
What are the stack sizes of you and the SB and BB? If the pot was opened do you have that player covered?
Are the SB and BB tight or loose players? What is your hand history with them?
What is the blinds to stack ratio?
lets assume the pot is unopened
You will always be raising in the early stages of a tournament. You will be calling most light 4bets and folding to shoves unless you have a read.
In the later stages of a tournament you could easily open shove on the button with KQ. As a matter of fact, I would suggest that you do.
you can always reraise opponents with a hand like this, especially loose ones, but the issue is that your
1. often crushed
2. often flipping
3. almost never ahead
When fishy fish comes over the top with A2 and you get stuck, you'll wish you haden't commited with KQ.
basically there are no finite answers in poker. I think anyone who develops a system is a losing player. The only way to approach the game is consider every action as an individual entity. Consider all the factors, and make the best decision possible. Even if the math says one thing, other factors can sway you in a different direction.
