So I've been reading both Kill Phil, and Power Holdem by Danial Negreanu.

Both books are diametric opposites of each other, and I've been trying to meld the strategies into a coherent approach.

Has anyone else done this?

They may both be effective strategies, but that doesn't mean they should be melded together. They are contradictory in a lot of elements.

I could see where melding the two could be successful, if done right. It would be akin to mixing up your play to confuse opponents.

I could see the benefit of melding them somewhat together but would not recommend it. On the other hand learning both techniques would not b a bad idea. You always hear how you should mix up your game at times and this would be a great way to do it. Say after a 1 1/2 at the table you deiced to switch it up, it would throw all the players at the table off and they would have no idea what was happening with you.
