It's hard keeping your head straight live or on line in mtt. I find myself in long time tournaments falling short of the final table. I try not to make a bad play but it happens. Your running good catching cards and good pots, then it happens your in the money players make bad calls. You get hit by the bad call bad beat and you fight going on tilt and keeping your head on straight. You can come back from it if you keep your head straight good poker and good cards come back. Good skill and cards to you.

yeah, the main problem is everyone is on tilt and plays that way. After a bad beat you have to forget it quick and stick to your game.

Take it or leave it, unfortunately thats online poker. After people make it to the $$$, the gong show begins. I've been busted by worse hands on the turn or river many times lately, falling from inside the final table to a minimum pay out in a hurry. I still think i played it right in over 80% of those hands. Maybe it will turn around, who really knows!!!

Sometimes keeping the head stragiht is really really hard, especially when we are playing live where there a re a lot of people beside you. When playing online it's ok to have some tilt and scream to yoour neighborhood or to jump comemorating.
Once i was playing here in my city in a poker club and i was holding Kings, there there were a lot of raises and reraises before my action, then I shoved all in and everyone was folding till the last guy stopped and though for a minute or two and told me "I know you are holding a very strong hand, cause you played very few hands till now, but im gonna call", and then the guy showed his JTo, and I just kept like in silence but inside i was like ALL I EVER WANTED, but then the flop came JXX and I stopped for a while and negative thoughts began to come on my mind and everything became confusing, and on the turn another Jack came and I began to laugh a lot cause I've just lost the hand, and the river comes blank and the guy won the hand. I was still laughing cause of the ridiculous call from him but those things happen, everyone on the table was like WTF.
Summary: I ended the night eating free hot dogs from the poker club, which is nice

That is the nature of the game. It is hard to remember that luck plays a big part, and all the skill in the world won't overcome a bad beat. I try to remember that if the situation seemed correct, just try to keep that in mind and shrug off the beats. It's the only way to stay sane.
