Just played my first live MTT
So tonight I went to my local casino to play a 30€ buy-in MTT. We got 4k chips and 25-25 blinds.
I was a little nervous vecause I didnt know what to expect in a live tournament. I usually play mtts in pokerstars
and lately I've been running pretty good, cashing most of the times.
I've been playing poker seriously for only half a year so I just play basic ABC poker and rarely blufing unless I have good reads.
With that same strategy in mind I played the tournament, 2h later I busted out on a rebuy and I left.
I noticed the following playing in two different tables:
- People call 3-bets with mediocre hands
- People going all-in in dry flops
- I found it harder to size my bets, probably because I'm not used to having to count chips
I'd love if anyone with experience in live mtts could give me some advice on how to overcome those problems. Thanks.
