Jackpot tournament

Fulltilt recently release a new Jackpot tournament, which pays a random prize pool. On the website, the odds of having the payout is given. After doing the math, the 1$ games are actually .95+.05$, which isn't too bad considering you start with 25bb, compared to 10-15bb in most hyper turbo games

Most importantly, however, I think that these games can be very profitable. Due to the *small* chance of cashing in a huge payout, I find that these games will appeal a lot more to casual players.

What are your thoughts to the new jackpot tourneys?

The format is almost the same as the one in Ipoker's Twister SNGs.

Decent enough rake structure, variance is obviously going to be huge and even if you bink the massive payout jackpot then you'll still have a minimal edge because of the structure even against average fish.
