hey guys aint posted in a long time, but recently ive been looking at these games as a new player it makes sence for me to play 1.10 sng games but i see these jackpot sng for 2.40 and if you win 4 in a row you get 2000 dollars not bad at all, so my question is are these good play for a player with a lowish bankroll and is it likely to win 4 in a row? thanks for any replies

Sounds like a really interesting concept at first, but when I think about it a bit more I think its kind of stupid for several reasons.

One of them would be collution.
People would be apt to collude in those games, and if you do win the 2000$ jackpot, the poker site would probably start some kind of investigation against you to see if you colluded or not.
And since SnG's usually have a lot of regs they would probably find something if they looked hard enough, no matter if you cheated or not.
They could say something like, this and that player played in all 4 games against you, and it appears they played a bit more soft vs you.

Another reason is playing scared money.
Lets say you have already managed to win 3, and its going very well in #4. You will then probably be very nervous, and that might affect your game in a negative way.

A 3rd reason is that it adds to the variance.
If you are a slight winner normaly you would be an expected slight loser in these games, provided you dont get the jackpot.
So it will become more of a lottery really.

+ rake is 20%
+ 1/12 4 times in a row is ridiculously hard. 1st, 1st, 2nd was my best run ever.

Same here: 1st 1st 2nd. Maybe another day! :) Those SNG are really easy so it´s not problem to get in the money. It´s the easiest way to build bankroll for me at betfair. ;)

hey crazy, just wondering which site this is as don't see any mention of it. Just interested to have a look at the field for such a sng bonus. Certainly not going to be the easiest to accomplish but might be worth a try for sure.

yes it is ipoker who propose this .

it seems suspect sometimes . many regulars and it is writing that u can not play in a row with the same players .
second fact collusion seems also usual i think .i saw during few weeks the same players and after the jackpot done , disappear.

i know 1 guy who won the rio jackpot / 20doll SH .( 30k dollars he won)

i tried it so many times and always near and loose the last ( the 2.2 few times ) and the maui made 4 in a row many times and twice the small jackpot ( finish 2nd on the last) , and the 50k jackpot also ( 18 players) . 3 in a row / 1 time and was very very disppointed on the last 1 when i was card dead.

1/12? Are you implying that these are 12 man sngs? If so, this would be ridiculously hard to do.

1/12*1/12*1/12*1/12= 1/20,736

These are relatively easy tournaments 4 pays in a 12 field, the only thing is the rake is 2 + 0.40 which is heavy for that stake and its a little difficult to win 4 straight, closest I came was 3... try them out and see how you do, if not stick to the double or nothing tournies until you build some bank.

william hill poker I think the 9man 5 doller sit n go's you can win $20,000 for 5 in a row.
$,50,000 for 6 in a row!!! @ $20.00 6 seater

$80,000 for 6 in a row 6 eater $50.000!!

the fields are poor so very realistic chance of getting their.

I won 2 in a row and as i was preparing for the third I decided to go read the terms and conditions. Turns out consecutive wins means you have to win 4 in a row in a single sitting lmao who is going to do that? I couldnt win the third one anyways but that condition really put me off as well.

Thats 20% rake which is normal for micro stakes.

Titan tournaments are 10% rake for the majority (minus the jackpot SNG) I noticed Full Tilt has changed and added a little higher rake but still reasonably low, Power poker is all 10% as well as 888 poker. I agree with you though I know that rake will only be going up but I feel 20% is ridiculous but Live poker is even worse so I guess I can't complain.

http://poker.williamhill.com/tournaments/dirty-dozen/

Dirty Dozen is the smallest one. 2+0.40. 12 seats. $2000 Jackpot for 4 consecutive.
Maui is next. $5 + $1. 10 seats. $15k Jackpot for 5 wins, progressive weekly by 6k (plus weekly increment). 5 consecutive top 2 finishes gets $200. $27k right now.
Rio is next. $20 + $3.50. 6 seats. $30k Jackpot for 6 wins, progressive weekly by 10k (plus weekly increment). 6 top 2's gets $300. $30k now.
Fort Knox is $50 + $9. 6 seats. $50k Jackpot for 6 wins, progressive weekly by 20k (plus weekly increment). 6 to 2's gets $750. Now at 155k.

I searched forum to see whether these were a good idea. Looks like no. Main problem I see is the rake at 20%. Would folks risk cheating for the little one?

Ok, so I looked through the Fort Knox, and of four games in progress at this time, Two players are in two, one in three and three in all four. So either they are going for the consolation bonus, or they're after higher rakeback, or the tables are soft, or they're in collusion, or they're slot junkies or some combination. Payouts are 150/90/60. Averaging third place will break even. Averaging 2nd would profit on payouts and occasionally hit 6 top 2's in a row.

I don't have the skills to make those kind of averages though.

Also, I play on titan as well. They're both the same tournament names, so I assume they're in common between all ipoker sites.
